My Husband Left Me - Now What? Advice and Tips That May Help You Get Him Back

It's very common to fear that when your husband walks out the door and has made it clear that he is exiting the marriage, all is lost.  Most wives will assume that this is just the first step of a divorce and the marriage will eventually die a slow death and end.  This does not have to be the case at all.  If you want your husband back (even after he has left), you will have to avoid some behaviors and concentrate heavily on some others.  Some of these behaviors and tactics will seem foreign or risky, but in reality, they are the safest, most sensible way to go because they ensure that your husband comes back willingly and that is "on board" with being with you and committed to the marriage.  It may feel like a win if you are able to talk or trick your husband into coming back, but in truth, this is just a short term victory that will often back fire later.  In this article, I'll discuss tips and advice that are meant to help you get your husband to want (with all his heart) to come back and to save the marriage once and for all.

Understand Why He Really Left (Regardless Of What He Is Saying With Words): Often, when women email me with statements like "well, my husband just left me, now what do I do?," my first question is always "why, exactly, did he leave?" Usually there is silence followed by a whole string of things that "could" be one cause.  They will tell me things like: "he says he's not in love with me anymore," or "he says it's not me, it's him," or "he won't tell me anything, just that he doesn't want to be married any more."

Sometimes, the answer appears clear cut, like he's having an affair or he's leaving for the other woman.  However, regardless of what he is saying with body language or with words, every one of these reasons really comes back to one similar thing - a lack of intimacy and connectedness to his wife. Some men will be sad about this, but want out all the same.  Some men are angry or disappointed. Some men shut down all together.  However, the outcome is always the same - these men have lost the feeling of "being in love" and being intimately connected to their wives and they don't know how to get it back or they don't feel that it can be risen from the dead again.  (Of course, you suspect this isn't true. So, you have to show him (very skillfully) the flaw in his thinking.)

My Husband Left Me - Now What? Advice and Tips That May Help You Get Him Back

What Men Really Want From Their Wives (Although They May Not Even Know It Or Be Able To Explain It):  I know that a husband's lack of explanation and communication can be maddening.  I can not tell you how many women tell me "if I knew what he wanted, I'd give it to him, but he won't tell me, and everything I try backfires."  Well, believe it or not, men are a lot like us.  They usually think they shouldn't have to tell us, and often, they can't articulate what they are wanting very effectively.  But, some of them do visit my site and dialog with me.  And, I can tell you with complete certainty that many of them want the same things that every one wants (including us.)

They want to feel deeply loved, completely understood, highly valued, very competent, greatly appreciated, and that they are absolutely worth your time and attention.  They want to have lighthearted fun with you.  They want to have a positive, not negative feelings based on shared positive experiences. They don't want to have to compete for this with your boss, your aging parents, your children, or your other obligations. I know this sounds harsh.  It is harsh.  But, this is the truth as I know it.  They want that connection and commitment that they felt when you first fell in love.  Please don't use this information to feel dejected or that it is too late.  I'm telling you this because I believe it is not too late, but I believe you have to know what he wants in order to give it to him and to get him back.  However, this will take some finesse.  You can't appear desperate or like you are acting when you do this.  So, let's get to it.

What You Need To Know (And Do) In Your Quest To Get Your Husband Back:  So now we know what your husband wants.  And, before you take any action, you need to always remember two things.  First, you want to always appear attractive (this is not just physical.)  And you want to create positive experiences.  When I say attractive, I don't necessarily mean your physical appearance (although you should take this into account and make it the best that it can be.)  No, what I mean is that, as I've explained, a woman who is most attractive to a man is the one who completely "gets" him and what he is about, but loves him passionately anyway and shows him this on a regular basis.  With that said, men do not find woman who try too hard or "yes wives" at all attractive.  They like interesting, busy, self confident, and alluring women.  It's a huge ego boost for them to know that a woman who has so much going on is going to take the time and effort for them.  So, you can't just have one part of this equation.  So, how does this work in real life? Like this.

The best way to show your husband the woman he first fell so hard for is to bring back the attributes that he loved the most.  This is a difficult exercise for many women because it is hard to look at yourself in this way.  But, I can tell you what men overwhelmingly tell me and this is that they love a woman with a laid back sense of humor, open heart, razor sharp interest, and a woman who can take the time to really understand and appreciate them.  It's highly likely that your husband fell in love with someone with a quick wit, a ready smile for him, and someone who took the time to know what would lighten his load and brighten his day and then took action.

Now, he's obviously left, so you don't have immediate access to him.  But, I'll bet you know where he is or where he is hanging out.  However, you don't just show up there, with this plan in hand.  No, first you go out with friends (mutual friends are best) and put a smile on your face.  You put your best self on full display with the full intention that he finds out.  After a reasonable amount of time has passed, you bump into him or, if you have to, your arrange a meeting where you need to return something or exchange something.  You make sure he knows that the woman he fell in love with is still there and that she is busy and carrying on.  You conduct yourself with dignity and respect.  You are upbeat, lighthearted, and you are always focused on positive interactions.  Eventually, he will not longer try to avoid you and will likely want to see more of you because this new you is something that is pretty intriguing.

Always let him take the lead and never be the initiator or push too hard. Again, you are the vibrant, open hearted woman who would love to save her marriage, but who respects her husband enough to deal with this situation in the most positive way she can, fully confident that this new person he sees will remind him very much of someone he once loved so much that he married her.

After my husband left, I did not understand these principles and I went about saving the marriage in the completely wrong way. I stooped to negative behavior that only drove my husband further away. Thankfully, I soon realized my mistake and decided to approach things from another angle and this eventually worked. You can read my very personal story on my blog at http://isavedmymarriage.com/

Understanding Group and Personal Ethics - Nu Leadership Series

Men cease to interest us when we find their limitations. The sin is limitations. As soon as you once come up to a man's limitations, it is all over with him.

Emerson

In today's society, personal and group ethics shape the value formation in organizations. Ethics and organizational culture can impact the success of an organization in the following ways: (a) group cultures influence ethical behavior more than the sum of their individual ethics, (b) ethic reasoning is a logical sequence where policies come last, making policies the result of ethical reasoning, not a substitute for it, and (c) ethics and culture gaps can only be reduced by preventing their root causes at the beginning of the process. Ethics in organizations are influenced more by the group ethics system (culture) than by the sum of the individual personal ethics systems.

Understanding Group and Personal Ethics - Nu Leadership Series

Ethic plays a critical role in leadership. Ethics is defined as the code of moral principles that governs the behavior of a person/group to what is right. People will not respect a leader low in integrity. A leader can't trick them with promotions or bribe them with money. In the long run, character does count in an effective organization. Draft, an organization management expert, explains that leaders at the highest management levels develop internal moral standards that can often allow them to break laws if necessary.

A leader's unethical conduct brings about his own demise and shame of his organization. Therefore, it can be shown that effective leaders must have accountability mechanisms in place so that they won't hit any ethical mine fields. Can you imagine what happens in an organization without accountability?

Each individual brings their own personal beliefs into the workplace. Leaders are not the exception. An individuals family background, traditions, spiritual values, and experiences impact how the make moral decisions. At the medium development point, individuals learn to conform to the expectations of moral behavior defined by their peers and society. Most leaders at this junction are willing to following laws and society expectations.

However, the highest levels of value formation are individuals who develop their own internal set of standards. Therefore, these individuals develop their own ethical principles that become more important in their decision-making than any external expectations. This high arching principle allows them to make unethical decisions, such as break laws or compromise organizational values, because it allows them to sustain their moral principles internally. Obviously, values will continue to play a critical role in organizational development in the future.

Ethics Training Programs For Employees

Due to the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations of 1991, several companies comply with the requirements which requires that companies implement a code of conduct, have high level oversight, provide ethics training to their employees, establishing the company's ethical cultures as well as make periodic assements of the effectiveness of the program. An amendment of the Act in 2004 prescribed much stricter guidelines as well as emphasising the need to create a legal as well as ethical culture for businesses.

Benefits of Ethics Training for Employees:

Ethics training for employee programs are part of all companies as they provide insights for liability protection as well as improve employee morale, their retention is also positively affected by these programs. Ethics are very important for a business as it helps to determine how your company is perceived by others. If your company has a reputation of being ethical and reputable employees as well as customers and colleagues will feel proud to be associated with your business, not the same scenario if your ethics and reputation is bad.

Ethics Training Programs For Employees

Ethics training for employees programs have to be carefully structured taking into consideration and setting standards for ethical behaviour in your company and what you want the training to accomplish. Companies have to make ethical training mandatory for all employees setting a good example that no one is above the law. The ethics training should help the employees become familiar with the company's code of ethics, know more about decision making using ethical models. Good ethical training provides training covering five basic aspects of ethical training, responsibility, respect, fairness, honesty and compassion. Compliance laws and other topics such as using internet, computers only for company related work and not misusing these resources, about work place romance etc. are an itregral part of the training program.

The training has to provide information regarding reporting ethics violation to specific personnel and reassure them that offenders will be punished severely. This will inhibit the employees from giving into temptation to violate ethical code of the business. The most successful ethics training programs are in house training programs as it helps boost employee morale. These training needs to be an ongoing continuous program and employees must be aware of the ethical code always. Training should be provided in areas such as keeping confidential information safe, how to take the right decisions when there is a conflict of interest, personal versus business etc.

When the ethics training for employees is carefully planned and executed, the employees will have a clear idea of the company's code of ethics as well as being intimidated with punishment techniques for those guilty of violations. Thus, ethics training for employees is an integral part of any training program provided to employees.

There are firms that offer their help and products to help new businesses function smoothly and efficiently.

What Does The Blood Test Result Mean? Part 1 - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)

The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, also known as CMP is an inexpensive blood test that gives you vital information. Why is this important? Generally most people have not had the training to understand what the basic laboratory tests mean. The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel is important because it gives an overview of exactly what and how the body is functioning. To understand just the basics of your blood tests will assist you in your health care program. When your physician says all of your results were normal, now you will know what that means.

The comprehensive metabolic panel actually has 17 different tests within the panel. Within these17 tests is important information regarding your kidneys, liver, electrolytes and your sugar levels.

Glucose- To determine if your blood glucose level is within healthy ranges; to screen for, diagnose, and monitor diabetes and pre-diabetes.

What Does The Blood Test Result Mean? Part 1 - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)

Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) - This measures the amount of nitrogen in your blood that comes from the waste product urea. This is made when protein is broken down in your body. It is used evaluate kidney function and monitor the effectiveness of dialysis and other treatments related to kidney disease or damage.

Creatinine- To determine if your kidneys are functioning normally and to monitor treatment for kidney disease. The kidneys also filter out waste and other unneeded substances from the blood.

BUN/ Creatinine Ratio- Comparison of the two waste products of the normal metabolic processes.

Sodium- To determine whether your sodium concentration is within normal limits and to help evaluate electrolyte balance and kidney function.

Potassium- To determine whether your potassium concentration is within normal limits and to help evaluate an electrolyte imbalance. It is critical for normal functioning of the muscles, nerves and heart.

Chloride - To determine if there is a problem with your body's electrolyte or acid-base balance and to monitor treatment. It also helps maintain proper blood volume, blood pressure, and PH of your body fluids.

Carbon Dioxide- Carbon dioxide is a gaseous waste product made from metabolism. The blood carries carbon dioxide to your lungs, where it is exhaled. Your kidneys and lungs balance the levels of carbon dioxide, bicarbonate, and carbonic acid in the blood.

Calcium- To determine if the level of calcium in your blood is at normal levels. Calcium is important to many body functions including muscle contraction, nerve and brain function, bone formation and the release of hormones.

Total Protein- -To determine your nutritional status or to screen for certain liver and kidney disorders as well as other diseases.

Albumin- To screen for a liver disorder or kidney disease or to evaluate nutritional status.

Globulin- Globulins are proteins that can be measured in blood serum. High levels may indicate liver disease, chronic inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. Low levels may be related to immune deficiency kidney problems or bowel related disease.

A/G Ratio- It has to do with the ratio of albumin and globulin, serum proteins. A decrease in the A/G ratio often indicates the presence of impaired liver function, nutritional status, kidney disease and many other conditions.

Total Bilirubin - To screen for or monitor liver disorders.

ALP- To screen for or monitor treatment for a liver or bone disorders

AST (SGOT ) - To detect potential damage to heart skeletal muscle and liver cells..

ALT(SGPT)- To screen for liver damage. Injury to the liver results in release of this enzyme into the blood.

The comprehensive metabolic panel may also be used to monitor a disease process, and for treatment purposes. Many treatable diseases do not show any physical signs and symptoms, until damage is done. Just because you feel fine does not mean that something may not be wrong. Early detection will save you time, money and heartache down the road.

Diabetes is on the rise. Due to poor food choices and obesity, more and more people are developing Type 2 diabetes. This is preventable in some cases. Simple changes can be done early before potential systemic body damage has started. The American Diabetes Association is a great resource for more information on diabetes.

Liver disease may remain silent for many years until irreversible damage is done. The liver is the largest organ in the body. It plays key roles in many vital body functions. It acts as a filter and is involved in metabolism; hormones, clotting and much more. Other important key factors that may lead to liver disease may include alcohol consumption, prescription medications, over the counter medications, and herbal supplements. Hepatitis may remain silent and only be diagnosed through a simple liver blood test which shows elevated liver enzymes. There are two main enzymes called ALT and AST. These enzymes are located within liver cells which may leak into the bloodstream once damage is done.

Kidney disease can remain silent for many years also. Diseases like hypertension and diabetes may affect your kidney function. The kidneys play many vital roles in processing wastes, and excreting them form the body in the form of urine. When the kidneys fail to do their job, wastes build up quickly resulting in dialysis or death. The Centers for Diseases Contol and Prevention, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report in March 2007 showed some staggering numbers. One in nine adults has chronic kidney disease. Another statistic shows there are 470,000 people relying on dialysis to live. That is almost a half a million people!

Electrolytes are used by nerve, heart, and muscle cells to carry electrical impulses to muscles, nerves and brain. Electrolyte disturbances can occur with vomiting, diarrhea, or diseases involving hormones that regulate electrolyte concentrations. Potassium levels are tied to heart and nerve impulses as well as muscle function.

Time and money are crucial to each of us, luckily there are ways to get to get tested with having to waste too much of either. Reduce your wasted time, money, and stress by understanding the basics of your body first. The next time you see your physician, you may feel a bit empowered by telling him you have already tested and understand what your results mean.
